With Erasmus program in Norway.

Wibke Levens was very impressed by how efficient education can work if there is enough money. The teacher of the Erlich School just returned from a 5 day trip to Tysvaervag in South Norway where she had attended the third meeting of the Erasmus-Plus-Project ” Activating innovative learners” together with three collegues. This project will last two years and wants to increase the know how of pupils concerning the New Medias.

” It was very interessting for us to see the Norwegian way of inclusion. All students are together in only one school also the ones with special needs. There is no stereotyped thinking” says Wibke Levens. That would be possible because many social workers are involved. “Money is no issue for Norwegians”, she says. You can only dream of that in Germany.

How you can run a students`shop was the topic of this third meeting with teachers of Wales, Belgium and Spain. “The Norwegian school will pay for an IT-expert to create Apps with the younger pupils that will be sold parents , family or friends” says Wibke Levens. Since grade 1 the Norwegian students are used to work with computers. Such a kind of school business would be inconcievable in the Erlich school. These pupils with special needs tend to develop a business in the household section. The pupils will work on a  plan on that score.

The teachers also were discussing the results of the tasks from the former meetings. The students created animation films concearning the actual curriculum with iPads. In grade 4/5 the children created a film with traffic signs and grade 3/4 a film on the Puri-Farm, a farm with animals that every younger student is visiting once a month in order to take care of the animals.

The next meeting will take place in October in Speyer.
